Overview
Understanding
Executive Function & ADHD
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder is among the most common mental health conditions — and among the most frequently co-occurring with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. Executive function challenges including difficulties with focus, organization, time management, emotional regulation, and impulse control often cause more impairment than the attention difficulties themselves.
Our approach to ADHD combines psychiatric medication evaluation and management with evidence-based therapy specifically adapted for executive function challenges. We address not only the ADHD symptoms themselves, but the anxiety, depression, and relational challenges that have frequently developed in their wake — often after years of misunderstanding, criticism, or missed diagnosis.
