About

Hello and congratulations on taking the most difficult step in your journey, seeking therapy! My name is Chelsea Silverman, I’m a licensed clinical social worker in California. One of the most important factors for success in therapy is the relationship with your therapist. I am here to connect, human to human, providing a compassionate and non-judgmental approach. We may be the right fit if you are:

  • Wanting to explore how your past impacts your present
  • Seeking to improve your relationship with yourself and others
  • Feeling stuck on repeat, wanting to break the cycle
  • Wanting to strengthen or learn skills to improve communication and relationships
  • Wanting to manage stress and emotions better
  • Experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma or PTSD
  • Wanting to find balance in your life

Through support, collaboration, and guidance we can work through life’s challenges. We will begin by identifying your unique goals and a path toward your future. I specialize in CBT and DBT, using psychodynamic and trauma-informed approaches individualized to you. We will incorporate mindfulness practices, mind-body awareness, and take a curious and open-minded perspective. I have past experience working in community mental health and crisis prevention settings, with individuals dealing with a wide range of life stressors, mental illnesses, and systemic issues. Outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors, with my dog, and rollerskating. I am excited to begin this journey with you!

Recent Reviews

“Chelsea had been great. She has helped me navigate a really rough time in my life. I am grateful to have found her.”

“I appreciate Chelsea’s patience with my process through therapy. I really enjoy that when the sessions become heavy, she makes it a point to check in before we end for the day and asks me how I feel and how I plan on going about the day to get me through the emotions.”

“I really enjoyed the patience I felt since starting therapy with Chelsea. Some conversations are very difficult to even start and I’m now at a point where I really look forward to breaking down the conversation regardless of the hard parts. In the end if nothing else, it feels really nice to be able to just share these experiences without the pressure or judgement. Thank you so much for that.”
