Welcome! Life can be difficult, and seeking help takes courage. As a CA-licensed psychologist, I look forward to supporting you and guiding you on a new path to greater happiness. Whatever painful situation you’re facing, you already possess the wisdom and the wherewithal to meet it with grace. These strengths are inside of you. Psychotherapy is a process of self-discovery and personal growth, and your current struggle, no matter how big or small, is fertile ground for transformation. Whether you’re stressed, depressed, anxious, experiencing medical challenges, struggling in your career, exhausted, wrestling with relationship or family issues, needing forgiveness, needing to forgive, lonely, or hurting in any way, regardless of how long it has been going on, psychotherapy can be your sanctuary. Our sessions together will help you recharge, gain fresh perspectives, and provide a safe haven where you will be respected and heard. Working with a therapist is an effective tool on the journey toward improved mental, physical, and spiritual health. We will collaborate in order to identify your goals, harness your innate gifts, and restore your sense of well-being in mind and body.

About me
I am a skilled, compassionate licensed psychologist with a broad foundation of human service experience and a lifelong passion for helping others. My style is accessible and down-to-earth, and I have a gift for finding hidden gems in seemingly impossible situations. Our sessions together will be a heart-centered, dynamic process focused on supporting you, challenging you, and re-aligning you with your essential aliveness and joy.

I have worked with individuals from all walks of life throughout different chapters of my career, including combat veterans, incarcerated men, patients with chronic pain, and Silicon Valley executives. These experiences, in addition to my own encounters with difficulty and loss, have enabled me to develop insight, empathy, resiliency, and problem-solving abilities; all skills and traits that I bring to each session and help you to hone.

I received my Ph.D. from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto. I chose This program because of its unique curriculum that encourages students to participate in physical disciplines and spiritual practice in conjunction with the intellectual study of psychology.

I completed my clinical internship in the Behavioral Health Division of Catholic Charities in San Jose provides individual counseling and group therapy to adults struggling with addiction and mood disorders. My postdoctoral fellowship was completed at the Center for Healthcare Evaluation at the Palo Alto VA and Stanford University, where I engaged in various, hands-on research projects aimed at improving mental health treatment for veterans.

In my personal life, I love to hike, walk my dog, and hit the gym. I feel the healthiest when I’m outdoors and active, but I also love spending time in the kitchen embarking upon culinary adventures that nourish my mind and body. I enjoy reading the poetry of Mary Oliver, laughing, having great conversations with good friends over a strong cup of coffee, and spending time with my partner
