Hello, my name is Damien Beaucheman. I’ve been working as a therapist for 10 years and have experience in a wide range of populations. I find I work best with clients that are looking for a little less traditional approach to therapy. I am myself a little less formal and while I use a range of therapeutic techniques, I believe in adapting those techniques to the client themselves. I use CBT, SFBT, Mindfulness, and Choice Theory frequently. I feel like the relationship built between client and therapist is often the most beneficial aspect of therapy, and that it’s best if the client and therapist are both their authentic selves. I am a little nerdy, I have a dark sense of humor, and love working with clients that are a little on the fringe themselves. I have worked with many clients with alternative sexualities. I’m a member of the LGBT community and have been a member of the poly Community as well. I also was raised in the foster care system and have a lot of experience and a passion for working with people who have had to embrace found family or have had traumatic childhoods themselves.
