About

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

(Supervised by Kasey Bogoje, LMFT)

Danita is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #128723.) She earned her Master of Counseling degree from Palo Alto University. Her work has been with a variety of diverse groups and clients including adolescents, LGBTQ, all genders, sex work, and adult clients living with the effects of trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and sexual assault. She uses an intersectional lens to explore identities that impact a person’s well-being, such as gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, age, income, religion, ability, and ethnicity. She believes everyone deserves a safe and non-judgmental space and is dedicated to providing that for her clients. Relationships are her passion, and she enjoys working with people of all ages to cultivate emotional intelligence (EI) and effective communication skills. Emotions impact our ability to pay attention, our decision-making, relationships, physical and mental health, and our performance and creativity. These skills can be learned and practiced to build stronger relationships personally and professionally.

She has additional training with sexual health issues and is currently working to become certified as a sex and kink-informed therapist. As a sex therapist, she wants to support those navigating or exploring non-traditional relationships and erotic practices such as BDSM/kink, consensual non-monogamy (CNM), relationship anarchy (RA), and polyamory. Outside of work, she enjoys playing with her two Boston Terriers, reading, cooking, beach walking, and spending time with her friends and family.
