About
Hello! I want to first congratulate you on taking the first steps to beginning therapy. My name is Gina Garbaccio and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I completed my Bachelors Degree in Sociology with an Emphasis in Social Work at California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, and my Master’s Degree in Social Work at California State University, Northridge. I have 6+ years of experience in the mental health field providing direct therapeutic services to individuals and families. I have worked in several settings providing both outpatient and inpatient care, including inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, schools, community mental health, and nursing homes. I have significant knowledge helping people experiencing a wide range of mental health disorders, including but not limited to stress, PTSD, anxiety, depression, as well as bi-polar and psychosis related disorders. I believe that everyone deserves quality mental health care and treatment. I am committed to helping people navigate and cope with the ever-changing complexities of life and heal as individuals and families. I take a strengths-based and people centered approach to therapy, as I believe you are the ‘expert’ in your life, and my role as your therapist is to utilize my knowledge along with evidenced based practice in order to create a collaborative approach in the healing process. I am excited to support you in your therapeutic journey.
