Erica Taylor, LMFT
Individual, Couples, Family
I was born into a military family; both my mom and dad were in the US Navy. While starting as a Navy brat, I decided to enlist in the U.S. Army. After leaving the Army, I continued my passion for public service as an EMT 1-A (aka ambulance driver) before spending 28 years in law enforcement. With a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, my education continued with a graduate degree in Organizational Leadership, as well as one in Psychology from Chapman University. I am currently licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). My career and life experiences have offered me a unique ability to connect with people from various communities to include the military, first responder, religious, and civilian communities. My clinical experience includes individuals, couples, families, facilitating parenting classes as well as court ordered domestic violence perpetrators classes. I have also facilitated group debriefings after critical incidents. Life’s experiences can create unseen compounding problems resulting in depression, substance use, fear, anxiety, grief, anger, and trauma to name a few. It’s okay to not be okay, but it is not okay to suffer. Let’s talk.
As many great chefs use a pinch of this and a little of that, I use a variety of modalities to help you achieve the best you, to include Cognitive Behavior, Client Centered, Solution Focused, Narrative, Psychodynamic therapy, and EMDR.
