Hello, my name is Julie Keenan and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have over 10 years experience in mental health. My grandmother’s long battle with dementia and the influence it had on my family inspired me to become a social worker. I am passionate about working with individuals from all backgrounds and life experiences to help recognize their strengths and utilize their coping skills to get through life’s stressors.
I have spent the majority of my social worker career in the healthcare world. I have experience across the lifespan providing interventions in inpatient, outpatient, and home settings for mental health concerns, caregiver stress, work stress, coping with illness, and grief. My approach to therapy comes from a systems perspective, looking at the way a variety of factors influence one’s behavior and outcomes. We will work together to recognize your strengths and form positive coping skills you can use throughout your life.
When I am not working I enjoy being by the ocean, spending time with family, gardening, reading, yoga, and traveling. I choose the Mindful Lemon because I am passionate about the mission to focus on your overall mental health through wellness, mindfulness, and fitness. In this busy and often non-stop world it is so helpful to take an hour to center and focus on yourself. Whether in crisis, working through the past or any other reason therapy is a step towards growth and self care.
