Underlying Kelly’s approach is that we all have the capacity to heal. Kelly works from an integrative approach, which she personalizes for each client. Above all, Kelly employs an empathetic, caring and nonjudgmental approach to each of her clients. Kelly draws from Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Therapy. When working with families Kelly also integrates Strategic Family Therapy approaches. Kelly works collaboratively with her clients to create a treatment plan that is tailored to their unique goals, needs and strengths. One of Kelly’s main objectives as a therapist is to create a unique holding space for each client through building rapport.
Kelly’s holistic approach allows her to meet clients where they are while simultaneously challenging them to build upon their strengths in order to achieve their goals and gain insight into their current presenting problems through an authentic, integrative, warm and supportive space. One of Kelly’s goals as a therapist is to help her clients discover and tap into their inner power to begin their healing journey as well as identify, practice and master coping skills they can use to improve their daily lives.
Kelly has been working with individuals, families and children who are dealing with a range of stressors such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, mood, ADHD, trauma, grief, major life transitions, communication skills and overall self-improvement. Whatever chapter of life you are in, Kelly would be honored to meet you there.
