Melody is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of California and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (with a focus on couples, family, and trauma) from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.
Melody has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients including those dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and suicidal ideation. She is a proud military spouse and especially enjoys working with these families. Melody is trained in using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused CBT); she has also completed Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and has provided crisis support.
Melody understands that sometimes everyone needs a helping hand and takes a trauma-informed, holistic approach toward wellness. She knows that religion and spirituality are essential parts of who we are and incorporates these elements into her practice when appropriate. She believes that no matter what you are facing you can find the hope, joy, and healing necessary to become your most genuine and true self.
