About

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist supervised by Chelsea Silverman, LCSW

I have a gentle, affirming approach towards therapy; we will go at your pace, and you can share as much or little as you feel comfortable with. I know that starting therapy can be nerve-wracking, and it is my goal to not be the intimidating expert and to instead meet you as an equal.

I believe that you know your life story better than anyone, and you know which chapters have left you with pain. As we get to know each other, I may gently challenge you to think about some of your preconceived notions, habits, or things in life that are leaving you feeling “stuck.”

Together we will explore your emotions, upbringing, and life-events, and will figure out what you want the next chapter of your story to look like. I view therapy through a social justice-informed lens, and I work from an integrative, strength-based approach that draws from Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have worked with clients struggling with depression and anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, clients on the Autism spectrum, LGBTQIA+ teens and adults, and parents of LGBTQIA+ children.

Therapy can be hard; it’s a growing experience. However, it’s not uncommon that I share quite a few laughs with my clients along the way. One of the most important aspects of therapy that leads to positive outcomes is the therapeutic relationship – aka, we need to feel comfortable with one another and enjoy working together. Please feel free to arrange a free 15-minute consultation to see if I’m the right fit for you.
